Crosfields School, Reading

New Library, ICT, Art & Design Centre
The Practice won the design competition, against five other practices, for this exciting new development at the School. Detailed design work is progressing, and its striking form, high quality and prominent location will designate it as a landmark building on the School site. The strong octagonal form at the north end will accommodate the Art Room at ground floor and the Library and ICT Room on the first and second floor respectively. Design & Technology will occupy most of the remaining space at ground floor and additional classrooms will be located on the first floor.

The building links with existing buildings at first floor level and completes the fourth side of a courtyard.

Construction work is on progress, opening is planned for 2007, to mark the School's 50th Anniversary.
